| Amy Jarecki |
Amy recently graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a Master of Occupational Therapy. She received awards in leadership and research, and was selected by her peers to be the student graduation speaker. Amy is passionate about community based practice and public policy which lead to two unique Level II fieldwork experiences; one with the American Occupational Therapy Association and one with a residence for the indigent who are terminally ill. Prior to her recent educational endeavor, Amy managed a successful bankruptcy law practice in rural Indiana for 13 years. She continues to maintain her license to practice law in the state of Indiana. Her daily interactions with people working and struggling to provide for themselves and their families fueled her passion for access to healthcare, social justice, and access to and success in higher education. During a two year appointment with AmeriCorps, Amy worked with low to moderate income students and families to access the Twenty-first Century Scholars program and transition to post secondary education.
